Kelly + Ben | Love Shoot Downtown Lansing

I am always a little nervous when I meet new people. And I am sure it's nerve wracking for new couples to not only meet me for the first time, but get all lovey dovey in front of me! Thankfully, I always get lucky with the most awesome clients ever ;) Kelly and Ben were amazing to work with, their dog Remi was pretty cool too :D I just happened to be in Lansing for the Michigan/Michigan state game (oh joy ;)) which is where they live. I was excited to do their engagement shoot at a new place! We had a perfect day, it was a little windy, but these two were troopers! I had a great time with you two, and I cannot WAIT to be a part of your wedding, I know it's going to be beautiful ;)

Brittany + Zach | Stone Mountain Engagement Shoot

This session is also very special to me. Brittany is one of my best friends, granted we have only ever lived close to each for about 4 months. She was my first friend when I moved home from Chicago, we immediately clicked. She ended up moving away to follow the boy of her dreams to Wichita, Kansas! I was so so sad, but we kept in touch ever since. Every time she comes home for a Michigan game, I always make sure I go see her and her family. Her and Zach have been together quite a while, despite their differences. She is a Michigan Fan, he is a MSU fan, if you saw their house in Georgia, you would laugh. For every Michigan picture on the wall, there is a Michigan state picture right next to it! I was lucky enough to go to Atlanta with them (where they live now) and hang out for a few days. We were trying to think of a place to do the pictures, I said I just wanted something different, something you couldn't find where we lived. We ended up coming across Stone Mountain, I thought it would be perfect!!! I had the BEST time with you two, and am so glad I decided to come. I love you guys and am so so happy I can be a part of your big day. :)

Angela + Anthony | Love Shoot at Wolcott Mill

I went to high school with Angela, she was a grade lower than I was, so I never got a chance to know her. We decided to meet at Starbucks to talk about her upcoming wedding to Anthony, and ended up talking for a while! ;) I know if I would have known her, we would have definitely be friends. She told me their love story, how they met, and all that juicy stuff ;) I couldn't wait to meet Anthony after everything she had told me. She really likes the whole vintage feel, they wanted to have their shoot at a barn I knew of, but,  it didn't end up working out:( I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and where we ended up was perfect. We decided to go to Wolcott Mill, it was a beautiful fall day, and the scenery was amazing. I had a great time with you guys, and I hope you like your sneak peek!

Erin + Jason | Willow Harbor Vineyards Wedding

Oh man do I heart these two, I have known them ever since my Chicago days. We all used to play on a sand volleyball league in the summer, these two, and my best friend and her husband. I then saw both of them at my best friend's wedding. I had done a ton of portraits at that time, but Jason had said they were thinking of me doing their wedding. I had never done one before, so wasn't really sure if they were serious or not :) BUT, then I got the email from Jason and couldn't have been more excited!!! I love this job, and when I know the couple, it makes it that much more special. Erin made such a beautiful bride! We were in her bridal suite, and I was trying to make her laugh for a picture, being my goofy self, and she said, "i'm so glad you're here and you're my photographer". That just melted my heart and made me so happy! Your day was so beautiful and so special, and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it. I wish you two nothing but the best, you are truly amazing. Love ya!
