Christina + Adam | Maternity Sneak Peek

I had met these two before but never on the level I got to know them this past weekend. These two were so much fun to work with, and we were so lucky we had such a great day! They introduced me to a brand new location which is AMAZING, and I love them for that! Here is just a teaser, I will have more up soon!  Can't wait to meet baby Ki ;)

Scott Family Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of taking Avery's photos last weekend in Chicago.  I met Colin at my first big girl job when I lived there, at first I thought he was just this big goofy Canadian...and after 5 years, I still think that! :)  We had an amazing group of people that worked together. I think that's what got us through our long days of cold calling, was our strong friendships that we made. I'm not gonna lie... the massage chairs, arcade games, and view of downtown helped (gotta love a sales job!) ;) Even though a lot of us are all over the country now, we still remain great friends.  Two of our friends had a bet who would have a baby first, and after a lot of teasing back and forth, Colin and Stacey won.  BUT, Pat and Ashley were only a couple weeks earlier! I would have loved taking their photos too, but they are in Nashville, they couldn't take those cold Chicago winters ;) Anyway, these people are like my family and I was so happy when Stacey wanted me to take their family photos the next time I was in Chicago. It has been way too long since I have seen them and now they have a 1 year old! Avery is soooo adorable and you guys definitely made my trip, I am so happy I got to share this amazing time with you.  Here is just a little teaser, I will have more tomorrow ;) Love you guys!

Daddy's Girl :D

Morgan | 18 Months

It had already been 6 months since I had seen Morgan last. I can't believe how big she has gotten, and she is so so adorable! It's so funny when kids get older they become more and more independent. I'm not sure if she remembered me from last time but she was so cute and kept holding my hand, I felt so special ha! It was so good to see you again Katie and Ryan, I am so glad you decided to get her photos done, and I can't wait for next time! Here is a little teaser, but there will be more up tomorrow! This was one of my fave's ;)

Happy Tuesday!

A Look Inside.

When you are in this business, I think a great way to be successful is to let your readers know the real YOU. When people book photographers, they not only book them because they like their photos but because they like them as a person. I want my clients to feel comfortable around me and connect with me in a way. That's why I have this blog, it may not be all about my photography at times, but it is about my personal life too. By doing my blog you can get to know me and know I am also a real person. I love when my brides email me initially and say they read my blog all the time and they would absolutely LOVE for me to capture their day.  That is the BEST feeling. They might have looked at a lot of different photographers but I might stand out because I love camping, and so do they. Or maybe they drink chocolate milk like it's going out of style like me, who knows? ;) Anyway, I have been out of the loop for a little while. I have been having a hard time with some things in my personal life, and to say that I have been knocked down is an understatement. I needed some time to myself. And even though I have had some exciting things that have happened in the last couple weeks, it is hard to share and enjoy them when you are hurting so bad. Right now I just have to trust I know what is real and surround myself with great family and friends and my little Foxy Roxy.  Because I was in such a funk, I am the worst mom ever and forgot to wish Roxy a happy birthday last week.  She is 4!  She is the best dog ever and no matter what, when I look at that sweet face, I can't help but smile. I am so thankful for my clients, family and friends and hope things will look up soon. Thank you everyone for being a part of this with me!
